Marcus isn't sure where he was born, but he thinks it was somewhere in the Pacific Northwest judging by where he first entered the system but he has no memory of his home or biological parents. From the information he's been able to learn, he was given up for adoption and sent off to a state-run establishment. He was unlucky enough to fall into a program that experimented on kids, and he was selected for the study as he showed, even at a young age, to have potential with various supernatural abilities.

His earliest memories are of multiple experiments and changing hands between different doctors and technicians. He started to practice how to sneak, to hide, to pick locks and various sleight of hand tricks that he could use to get away, and it was a welcome distraction from the reality of his life. The tests included injections and drugs, gene therapy, and other procedures that all lead to an increase in his powers and his ability with Psychokinesis the most.

Testing and prodding turned into training with his new powers and pushing the limits of his control to improve his skill. Soon he was able to use that skill and ability along with the planning and practice in stealth and trickery to escape for good. Now free, he's on the run and trying to make sure he doesn't get captured and returned.

  • Eye for the Strange:

He's got his own supernatural powers and he can detect the strange around him.

I can believe things that are true and things that aren't true and I can believe things where nobody knows if they're true or not...

I believe in a personal god who cares about me and worries and oversees everything I do. I believe in an impersonal god who set the universe in motion and went off to hang with her girlfriends and doesn't even know that I'm alive. I believe in an empty and godless universe of causal chaos, background noise, and sheer blind luck.

I believe that anyone who says sex is overrated just hasn't done it properly. I believe that anyone who claims to know what's going on will lie about the little things too...

I believe that life is a game, that life is a cruel joke, and that life is what happens when you're alive and that you might as well lie back and enjoy it.

- Neil Gaiman, American Gods

Bring the drugs baby I could bring my pain
I got my heart right here
I got my scars right here
Bring the cups baby I could bring the drink

Help me understand why
You've given in to all these
Reckless dark desires
You're lying to yourself again
Suicidal imbecile

You should know, I'm one in a million
Tell me I'm against the ropes
Ohh Ohh, Just one in a million
But I could fight this on my own
